The UBG-05LN obstacle detection sensor is specifically used for scanning the traveling path of AMHS (Automated Material Handling Systems) such as AGCs, AGVs, RGVs and OHTs as a means of protecting equipment from impact.  This compact laser scanner offers higher accuracy, a wider detection range within a 180º field-of-view and has simple RS-232 interfacing for programming the detection area outputs.
